A fire fighter in the Northern Territory has rescued two more people after the car they were travelling in ran off the road and crashed into a tree.
The fire services team from Tarrant and Wagga Wagga said the first vehicle that struck the tree was the fire engine.
Fire service personnel arrived at the scene shortly after 12:00am and were met by the second vehicle.
They were able to retrieve the first person who was trapped in the car, who was in critical condition.
It is believed the second person was not injured.
A search of the car’s rear was successful.
