The car that went off-roading at an Oklahoma highway is now in storage and awaiting a trial in court, after firefighters found a woman who was trying to hide in the vehicle.
The woman, identified by her maiden name, said she was driving on Interstate 35 when she got behind the wheel.
The two men driving behind her, who had a warrant out for their arrest, pulled out of a driveway and started screaming at her.
The vehicle came to a stop about 30 feet from the driver’s side of the woman, who ran to the front passenger side of her car and screamed at them to stop, according to police.
She told them to get out of the car.
They then sped off, leaving the vehicle, which was parked in the middle of the highway.
The driver told police she was terrified when she realized the woman was inside.
The car had been sitting in the parking lot of a Walmart store on Wednesday night, police said.
The Walmart is located in the city of Oklahoma City.
It was not immediately clear what caused the crash.
The fire department was called at around 5:30 p.m. to investigate the crash, which occurred on I-35 and Highway 1.
